Nikon Rumors:

There will probably be two more Nikon announcements in September. There must be a reason why some Nikon employees vacation was blocked for the end of August.

Doch noch eine D800 oder D4 in diesem Jahr? Angeblich soll es sich im DSLR-Sektor eher um ein Update und nicht um eine komplette neue Kamera handeln. Was genau das bedeuten soll, ist mir nicht ganz klar. Außerdem stehen noch die spiegellosen Kameras an. Es bleibt spannend.

Canon Rumors:

I’m told we’ll be seeing the 5D Mark III announced in October, with delivery shortly there after. I was not given any specs, which is probably a good sign.

Nikon Rumors:

In two different interviews Nikon executives mentioned that they have “almost” completed a new generation of digital cameras which will offer customers new ways to enjoy their images. “Creating markets by launching new generation products and products of new domain” is also on of the four challenges listed on the business strategy section for Nikon’s Imaging division.

Canon Rumors:

February 2012 would be the earliest for an announcement that will address the 5D line.

Upon browsing through the Editor’s Choice area of 500px.com, I noticed this image. When you upload an image to the service, it automatically puts the EXIF Data in for you. However, it can be changed if you go in and edit the information. Apparently, Christopher Boffoli may have a Canon 5D Mk III.

Das ist doch Unsinn. Es ist, wie Chris selbst schon sagt, ein leichtes die EXIF Daten zu ändern. Vielleicht hat er sich einfach nur vertippt oder hat sich einen Spaß erlaubt. Des Spaßes wegen oder um absichtlich die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich und das Foto zu lenken. Und dass er jetzt nicht antwortet heißt ja auch gar nichts. Ich halte es für sehr sehr unwahrscheinlich, dass das Foto wirklich aus einer 5D Mk III kommt. Sollte das allerdings doch der Fall sein, nähern wir uns offenbar dem Release, was ja auch nicht so verkehrt ist.

Mike Johnston:

We’re still a little short of the public announcement, but Reuters is now reporting that Ricoh Co. Ltd., the copier and printer manufacturer that also has a very small digital camera business of its own, is set to buy Pentax from Hoya Corp. by October.

Oh, das ist in der Tat recht spannend. Werden wir demnächst dann bald Ricoh DSLRs zu sehen bekommen?

Nikonrumors:

The big announcement in August will be for a new Nikon D4 and D400 DSLR cameras. The Nikon D700 replacement will probably be announced at a later date, maybe even in 2012.

Fü mich derzeit nicht wirklich relevant, trotzdem immer spannend zu sehen was passiert. Ich dachte ja auch, als nächstes wäre die D800 dran… (via)
