Retina Wallpapers for the new iPad

Beautiful Pixels:

Although the new iPad has been out for just a few days, there are already many beautiful and unique backgrounds and homescreen wallpapers out there. We thought this would be the perfect time to put together another roundup and bring forward the work of all the awesome designers and photographers.

Retina iPad Wallpaper Pack

John Carey:

There goes Apple again making more work for me. The apparently beautiful new iPad screens have a remarkably high resolution, nearly as big as the large, full size desktop wallpapers I offer. Knowing this I knew it was time to jump in and start cropping images for all of the new iPad owners out there. It’s a bit time consuming but you guys know I love you so here we go.

iPhoto’s Mystery Meat Gestures

Lukas Mathis:

After downloading and playing around with Apple’s new iPhoto for iOS, I felt like I was teleported back to 1998. Touching and gesturing in different ways would make seemingly random things happen. I regularly unintentionally activated features, changed views, opened or closed pictures, and got iPhoto into states I wasn’t sure how to get out of again.

Byword for iOS

A story about an iPad browser that never was

Sean Sperte:

It turns out that building a browser is curse-word hard, even if you don’t have to worry about the rendering of web pages. At the time, though, we didn’t know this. Well, maybe the other two thirds of our little company did. But they were brave enough to follow me and my naivety into battle anyway

Interview with William Morel, Photo Editor at Country Living

William Morel:

One thing I can say is that having every photographer’s website at my fingertips is wonderful. We have many shoots all around the country in small towns. The Internet is the only hope I have in finding photographers in these areas of the country. There’s also nothing that impresses me more than when I meet with a photographer to review his or her book and an iPad is pulled out. It just makes viewing a photographer’s work so much easier and it shows that the photographer likes to keep things simple. Digital has definitely made my life easier.

Interessant.

Facebook for iPad und weitere mobile Neuheiten
