Eric Kim:

Street photography is often misunderstood as simply going outside and taking random photos of whatever. Although having the mindset of a flaneur (going outside and strolling aimlessly) is great—you still want some sort of concrete goal or plan when out shooting.

Eric Kim gibt zehn Hinweise, was man als Street Fotograf besser vermeiden sollte. Tipps, die vor allem für Anfänger im Street Genre sehr hilfreich sein dürften.

Den Tipp, den ich als Zitat wählte, werde ich mir in Zukunft selbst mehr zu Herzen nehmen. Ich werde mir Aufgaben oder Themen überlegen mit denen im Kopf ich raus gehe.

As for creating an exhibition, I have met people who are interested and willing to back me up, but, above all, I need to discover new countries, get more experience and test all the possibilities of my camera before showing my work.

Nicolas Hermann war sechs Wochen in Indien unterwegs und hat einige fantastische Street Fotos mit gebracht. Der Leica Blog hat ihn interviewt und zu meiner Ãœberraschung musste ich fest stellen, dass er neben der Fotografie einen ganz normalen Job hat und sich einer Ausstellung noch nicht gewachsen fühlt. Seine Fotos sind großartig und alle mal eine Ausstellung wert. Meine Meinung.
