The new sizes are available for all photos that you have uploaded since March 1st. For each photo we are generating the two new 2048 pixels and 1600 pixels sizes unless the uploaded image is smaller on the longer side. These new larger image sizes will make your photos look even more stunning on Flickr.

Felix uploaded part 3 of the Audi-A1-Sportback-Shooting. The images are amazing. They could easily be stills from a movie. I hope someone will give Felix money for doing photos like these in the near future.

Not to long ago I showed you the status of my work on QUOTE.fm Read. I also said I wanted to show you my progress along the way. So today I have a pretty nice update for you, I think. And yes, in the meantime I also did some other things.

So let’s get started with what’s new. The comments are finished and look mostly like the ones you already know from QUOTE.fm.
Furthermore I replaced the standard OS scrollbars in the social reading mode with JavaScript scrollbars. They look and behave almost exactly like the ones you might know from Mac OS X Lion. They looks nice and if you don’t need them they are simply out of your way.
Today I started working on the functioning of the customize buttons. You now can change the font size, line height and width of the text. Up next are the fonts and color themes.

Have a look, click a few buttons, resize the browser and so on and let me know what you think. However, I have to say that everything is work in progress and only tested in Safari and roughly Firefox.

Harry Roberts:

All of the talks were fantastic, very, very diverse, a mixture of technical and theoretical. They were all remarkable but my personal favourites were Rachel’s, Chris’, Mathias’ and Bartek’s.

Sounds like Front-Trends 2012 was a very, very good and fun conference. I really want to attend next year. Hopefully my english is a lot better till then.

Mirrorless Rumors:

Our super good sources informed us that the new Leica M camera coming on May the 10th will feature a Black and White Full Frame sold by Platinum Equity. As you know Platinum acquired the Kodak business and they are going to sell the Kodak developed Black and White sensor to Leica.

Next thursday we know for sure.
