Falls ihr jemals eine HTML-E-Mail bauen und versenden musstet, werdet ihr dieses Tool zu schätzen wissen. Ich hatte mal noch ein etwas besseres gefunden, bei dem sogar noch angezeigt wurde welche Teile des Codes eventuell in alten Mailprogrammen (Outlook, etc) zu Problem führen könnten – ich finde es aber nicht mehr… :(

Weiterer sehr guter Artikel von Brent Simmons. Es geht darum, dass das Lesen direkt auf Webseiten (aufgrund von Werbung, schlechter Typografie, etc) immer häufiger unzumutbar wird und Leute wie „wir“ auf RSS Reader und andere Hilfsmittel zurück greifen.

Das obige Zitat spiegelt mich sehr gut wider. Ich lese gerne auf den eigentlichen Webseiten. Ich mag es, dass nicht jeder Artikel gleich aussieht (wie durch Instapaper, Reeder, etc), will aber gleichzeitig auch gut aufbereiteten Text haben. Oft finde ich den nicht vor und bleibe dann doch in meinen üblichen Apps. Schade.

Die beste Alternative zu Apples Reminders App gibt’s gerade vergünstigt für nur 0,79 €. Ich nutze NotifyMe nach kurzer Testphase von Reminders wieder als meine Erinnerungs-App. Killerfeature: Auto-Snooze für Erinnerungen. Meistens stelle ich mir eine Erinnerung für irgendeine Uhrzeit. Oft reagiere ich dann nicht direkt darauf und werde dank NotifyMe einfach alle x Minuten wieder daran erinnert bis ich es erledige. Das ist einfach grandios.

Es gibt auch eine iPad und Mac App, die alle synchronisiert werden. Ich nutze allerdings bisher nur die iPhone App.

Here’s how Go to Line should work to make it usable for text navigation: 1. The small window that appears where you type the line number needs to be a window that opens without animation. It can’t be a sheet. It can’t be a big window. It can’t have it’s own custom animation. It has to be super-fast. 2. The insertion point must then be placed at the beginning of the gone-to line. The entire line must not be selected. (That’s a recipe for losing text if you’re an impatient and fast typist. Yes, there’s undo, but first there’s me saying ten hulk-smashes before I’m calm enough to continue.) 3. It should be obvious that it should also display line numbers (optionally, for people who want it). It seems pretty simple.

Brent führt noch einige Texteditoren und ihre Fehler auf. Unter anderem Espresso, das eine Animation nach Eingabe der Zeilennummer hat. Das machte mich auch schon total verrückt weil ich einfach nicht verstehe warum man das machen sollte. Coda (welches ich gerade doch wieder nutze) hingegen hat dort keine Animation, markiert nach Sprung in die Zeile allerdings auch die komplette Zeile.

Wie ihr euch vielleicht noch erinnert habe ich irgendwann mal am Castrol Foto Award teilgenommen, bei dem man als einer der 12 Besten in den Castrol Fotokalender 2012 rein kommt. Mein Bild hat es auf den dritten Platz geschafft und am Wochenende bekam ich mein Belegexemplar. Der Kalender ist wirklich toll. Sehr gute Motive und guter, matter Druck. Ich freue mich wirklich, dass ich darin vertreten bin.
